Here are two lamps I'm loving + will likely buy ...
One for my work space + the other for our guest room.  Love them!

vintage goodies

I found a number of vintage goodies over the last week.  My favorites include this great old school desk (which is super sturdy) + some fun pennants for my little one's playroom ...

I also found a few goodies for myself...some big spools I'm putting my ribbon around, a lovely yellow crate for my envelopes + a great milk bottle ...

I usually don't score so many goodies...let alone all for under $100 (!), so as you can imagine, I'm quite pleased!

i *heart* my new organizer

I got my PB wall organizer + put it up yesterday ...

Its not set it up quite yet but I sure do love it already!  Its a lot bigger than I thought [in my rush to buy it, I didn't pay attention to the dimensions] but it worked out nicely...its not only pretty its very functional!

to wallpaper or not

I've been thinking of either painting or wallpaper the long wall in my little studio ...

Those are the few designs I've narrowed it down to. I'm thinking simple, modern but with a touch of femininity.  I think my favorite are the two bottom by Jonathan Adler [he's got some lovely wallpaper].

I've never wallpapered + can't decide if it would be too overwhelming or if I would get tired of it. 

Any thoughts welcome. :]

yay for days off

Thanks all for your nice notes about my little day off yesterday.  It was well worth it + very much needed.  I recommend it! :] Here's my desk at the end of yesterday [yay!] with a few notes ...

I feel so much better.  I would show a before photo but its just too unsightly.

Towards the end of the day yesterday, I read this on Karey's blog + was literally crying at my desk.  Its always good to get a little perspective.  Thanks, Karey - you're an amazing writer.

cleaning + catching up today

Taking a 'blog day off' today to catch up + tidy up my little studio so that my desk will look like this again ...

Its been a super busy week with work + loads of custom work [its definitely wedding season!].  All fun but a bit tired.

pb wall organizer :: be still my heart

I think my heart literally skipped a beat today when I saw my perfect wall organizer on sale ...

I've been eyeing this ever since it came out a few months ago.  Its perfect for me in so many ways but I especially love the built in power strip...now my electronics will be organized/charged in style too.  I ordered it immediately, can't wait to get!

Now, I will just wait for these cabinets to go on sale -- in yellow, of course.

i have a twine + string problem

I love ribbon but I really love any kind of twine, string, jute, canvas tape - you name it, I probably have it.  Today, I went to organize it all and realized I have more than I will ever use ... 

This is only about a third of it.  I really do need to stop buying it. 

chalk spray happy

I recently got chalk spray paint + have gone mad over it.  I love it!  So far, I've made ...

An Easter pail for the little one.  I'm still figuring the spray out -- the lines aren't as clean as I would like [need to make sure tape is securely placed].  This was super easy though + I think it could be fun for older kids as they could decorate their own pail.  Just be sure to do multiple coats. 

And a little bulletin + chalk board for my studio. 

Now, I'm just looking to see what else I can make into a chalkboard!
