We're baking lots of cookies over the next two days for our neighbors, the mailman, co-workers, etc.  I'm liking these packaging ideas from Martha ...

Like many, I'm loving dahlias right now.  I've got my dinner party tomorrow night + just picked up these super cute dahlia boutonnieres + corsages, made by the very lovely Holly Chapple Flowers ...

nyc

I'm headed to NY today to meet up with my sister + sister-in-law for a "sisters' weekend".  Its my SIL's first time in NY [she lives in San Fran] + to maximize our time we each made a list of the places we want to go + she needs to see ...

Besides the definite NY must-sees, my list consists of mostly bakeries [Bouchon, Billy's Bakery, Lady M, Payard] + a few shops [Muji, Madewell, Partners & Spade].  Good eats + good shopping + good company = a fab weekend.  :]

I'm ending the trip with a visit to the NSS on Sunday.  Will share more about that next week.  Have a great weekend!

peanuts

This is a bit random but anyone have suggestions for what I can make with this big bag of raw peanuts?

We got this from family a while back + besides enjoy the super cute burlap bag or eat them plain, I figure there must be something tasty I can make.  Peanut brittle maybe?  Any ideas [and recipes :]?

My sister + I did a blog redesign for her last night ...

We have really different aesthetics but I like how it turned out.  I also really like this feature she's doing where she'll assess your interview outfit from a hiring manager's point of view [she's an HR/talent guru].  Super helpful especially in times like these.  So proud of the little sister's professional development.  Also check out her other blog where she serves as editor.
