Ike turns 6 today ... its crazy how time flies so quickly ...
I associate this blog with him as I started it shortly after he was born. So I figured it was appropriate to dedicate a quick post to him. Happy birthday to the sweetest, most funny little guy I know.
We put together little care packs for him to pass out to his classmates. He's exclaimed that today is the best day ever. I have to agree.

I can hardly believe summer is almost over and school starts next week. We did a pretty good job with our summer check list. Here are snippets from our August ... lots of fun + lots of work ...

At the beginning of each summer we write a summer to do list. Its a fun way to make sure we get out and do stuff ...
So far, we've checked off about half of the list...looking forward to checking off the rest!

Can you believe we just have six day until Christmas? So much to do and so little time! We're winding down with the craziness of holidays at the studio/shop and looking forward to taking some time off next week. Since things get pretty busy in December I designed and printed our holiday cards early ... here's what we sent ...
Ike [now 5!] is drawing up a storm. Its so fun to see his creativity shine threw. And with that in mind, I thought it would be fun to include one [of his many] drawings as a part of our card. Inside was a note "from Ike" with his most recent t-ball playing card!

Been busy with summer and fall weddings [love the calligraphy in the top left that sweet Mara of Neither Snow did for us], Ike graduate jr. kindergarten [!] + preprations are in full swing for a September opening for Fifteen Eleven.

We had a very busy spring at the studio + things are now at a better, not-so-crazy pace. And now that summer is here, I'm trying to slow things down even more to enjoy it with Ike. So far, I think we've done a good job. Here are a few photos I've snapped over the last couple of weeks now that the summer heat is here!
Ike goes to kindergarten this fall - I can hardly believe it! Even more reason I want to try to slow down + just enjoy this time. How about you ... what do you have planned this summer?

I spotted these little swimsuits on Pinterest and just about fell off my chair from the cuteness ...
If I had a little girl ... she would be in one of these [yes, even despite the price!]. I'm seriously considering getting the trunks for Ike. SO cute.

We finally got our first real snow of the season here in DC + the little one and I enjoyed it all morning ...
There's something about snowmen, sledding + snow angels that make you feel 12 again ... and love every second of it!

LOVE these industrial bins with liners for toy storage ...
I think I might need these for the little one's playroom. Helps they're on sale!
