15/11 treats + open house!

We had an open house for the shop recently and a few folks have asked where all of our treats came from.  So I thought I'd share!  And speaking of treats and the shop, we're having an Open House tomorrow (Saturday, October 1) ... join us for shopping + our favorite whoopies if you're in the area!

happy fall

I love summer and it always takes me a bit to get over the end of summer and move onto fall.  But once I do, I start to embrace what's to come and I get excited ...

We pulled out all our fall clothes over the weekend ... and now ready for boots, coats, soup + the leaves to turn. Happy fall!

letterpress workshop :: october 1

I'm offering a letterpress workshop on October 1 at The Hive - if you're interested, more details here!

This is a fun [and challenging] project by designer Nicole Meyer -- she's designing a logo a day for Minnesota's lakes...

I adore this blog, Ornamelle, by Masha where she documents her hand lettering and paintin.  There's something artistically soothing about it ...

And thank you EVERYONE for the kind, kind feedback for the shop.  We closed out our first week and I have to say the whole thing is SO fun and truly a little dream come true.  xoxo 

washingtonian article

Fifteen / Eleven is now open!  And Washingtonian Magazine just posted the most amazing article about the shop.  I am beyond ecastitc [in tears, actually] that they've called Fifteen / Eleven their "new favorite paper goods store" ...

Thank you, Washingtonian Magazine, for loving 15/11.  Its a good day. 

ps.  I will go back to regular posting and not talk as much about the shop!  : )

Fifteen/Eleven - 9/15/11

My little shop, Fifteen/Eleven, opens this week on 9/15/11!!  We've been working hard on it this summer pulling together a very curated collection of our favorite paper goods and small gifts.  I am super excited [and a little nervous] for everyone to see ...

The shop is definitely a little dream come true and its come together even better than when I first came up with the idea in my head.  I'm so overwhelmed by the support and kindness of friends, family, vendors and the local industry and press.  So, I just want to say thank you.  And a special thank you to Christine...who loves the shop just as much as I do. SIMPLESONG has been busier than ever .... so I could not do it without her and I'm so fortunate to have her working at the shop.  

We both hope you'll come by and say hello. xoxo
