Fifteen Eleven inspiration

First, thank you ALL for your kind comments and tweets about my announcment of Fifteen Eleven.  Ever since I started my business 4 years ago, I always say I could have not done it with out this creative / blogging community.  You guys are great. 

I've been behind-the-scenes working out all the details ... including the overall look.  Here are a few things from my inspiration board for the shop ...

I'm going with a classic, minimalist look with a few feminine and vintage touches here and there.  Owning a brick and mortar show has been been on my "dream list" -- especially a paper shop -- I can remember making my sister play paper shop with me and collecting all things paper ever since I was little.  And now, its happening, which is so very exciting.  Thanks for being on this ride with me!

NEWS! Fifteen Eleven - A Paper Shop

I've been working on something that I'm so thrilled to finally share.  I'm expanding SIMPLESONG Design and opening a brick and mortar shop later this year!  The shop will be called Fifteen Eleven (a nod to our current studio space) and we'll be carrying a curated collection of paper goods from my favorite designers ...

To say the least, I am super excited.  We have the opportunity to expand our current space, The Hive at 1511, and will be moving things around (Ritzy Bee and Kate Headley Photography will be moving upstairs!) to accomodate the shop.  I am beyond appreciative to my dear friends, supporters and collaboraoters, Maria and Kelly of Ritzy Bee and Kate Headley.  They are the best friends a girl could have. 

A few other things to share:

• We're hiring!  I'm looking for someone to help open, maintain and grow the shop.  More info about the job here. 
• I'm very excited about the branding + have lots of goodies up my sleeve : ).  The shop will be branded separately from SIMPLESONG (which will remain the custom/letterpress portion of my business).  For now, we just have a temporary site for the shop up here.
• Follow the progress of the shop build-out, opening and other tidbits on Twitter.

Its been fun lately buying and dressing Ike.  I think its because he's out of 'baby' clothes and more into little man clothes.  A few things I've bookmarked lately ...

Summer clothes are particulary fun.  And those TOMS are my fav.

summer!

We had a very busy spring at the studio + things are now at a better, not-so-crazy pace.  And now that summer is here, I'm trying to slow things down even more to enjoy it with Ike.  So far, I think we've done a good job.  Here are a few photos I've snapped over the last couple of weeks now that the summer heat is here!

Ike goes to kindergarten this fall - I can hardly believe it!  Even more reason I want to try to slow down + just enjoy this time.  How about you ... what do you have planned this summer?
