As far as design goes, I'm a minimalist at heart.  And I love seeing products that nicely designed with minimal packaging ...

Aren't these fantastic?  I'd definitely take a second look if I saw any of these in passing in a store.  Sources: candle, bourbon, ketchup + salt]

snow day!

We finally got our first real snow of the season here in DC + the little one and I enjoyed it all morning ...

There's something about snowmen, sledding + snow angels that make you feel 12 again ... and love every second of it!

I am totally loving these chevron patterned lucite trays from Etsy shop Tilly Maison ...

And its extra great that the design has been painted on the underside + sealed with a clear finish for protection.  Would make a fanastic gift.

Loving this packaging for ice cream shop Honey & Mackie's. Love how its both modern + nostalgic, don't you think? 

I spotted this over on a new-to-me and fantastic blog, Bright.Bazaar - which was listed among the best up and coming blogs at the ALT Summit (more on that later!).  Hip Hip Hooray was also listed (yay!) ... see full list here.

spring fever

A day of [slightly] warmer weather and I'm ready to ditch the winter coats + put a spring in my step. I'm so looking forward to some bright colors + bold stripes! Here's a look at a few [new + favorite] things that have recently caught my eye:

Hi there! I'm Lauren, and I'm so thrilled [and honored!] to be blogging here while Suann's off to Salt Lake City! What a treat this is!

I've got a bit of the travel bug, so I thought I'd share one of my favorite jetset-inspired identities for S.R. Gambrel. Fellow VCUarts graduate + super talented designer, Derick Holt, really captured the firm's classic sensibility + fresh approach to color.

We've been soo busy lately that I haven't updated my site as much as I should (working on that in 2011!).  To start, we've added a few Valentine's goods to the shop ...
