favorite things

I needed a little break from work + decided to take photos of a few new favorite things lying around my studio ...

An entire set of wood type I recently got from Ebay ... I've been on the lookout forever for just the right set [more on this later] ... my new little succulent plant [I'm officially a convert] ... cute Martha Stewart labels from Michael's [all her stuff is on sale there:] ... lovely letterpress printed cards picked up at NSS.

Really adorable shoes + dresses for little ones by zef ...

Saw the sandals in NY + they're even cuter in person.

Another obsession fed from my trip is Madewell ...

These pictures or their website don't do the shop justice.  So many cute things.  I'm bummed but am very glad they don't have online shopping as I'd be in big trouble.

I loved seeing o-check products in person at NSS ...

They are even lovelier in person + now I'm obsessed with getting some. 

back tomorrow

I'm back + had a really great trip.  Will share more later ... for now a pic from the rooftop of the Met.

I'm behind on all sorts of things + trying to catch up.  Back tomorrow ... in the meantime be sure to check out Jane's recaps of some of the fabulous things we saw together at NSS.  I can't think of anyone better to have walked NSS with [and btw, Jane is so cute, cool + hilarious ... so glad we met!].

I'm headed to NY today to meet up with my sister + sister-in-law for a "sisters' weekend".  Its my SIL's first time in NY [she lives in San Fran] + to maximize our time we each made a list of the places we want to go + she needs to see ...

Besides the definite NY must-sees, my list consists of mostly bakeries [Bouchon, Billy's Bakery, Lady M, Payard] + a few shops [Muji, Madewell, Partners & Spade].  Good eats + good shopping + good company = a fab weekend.  :]

I'm ending the trip with a visit to the NSS on Sunday.  Will share more about that next week.  Have a great weekend!

simplesong :: business cards

A few business cards I recently finished for some favorite bloggers ...

The top one was for Aran of Cannelle et Vanille + the middle one was for Nole of Oh So Beautiful Paper.  Two super sweet people + two blogs you must have on your feed. 

And the last one is for me ... in time for my visit to the NSS [which I am very excited about as Jane + I will finally get to meet-up!].  As you can see, I like variety + regularly change my business cards, blog header, packaging ... etc.  I should probably have some consistency but can't help it!
