two bits of good news for d.c.

I recently found out that DC has finally jumped on the yogurt bandwagon with the opening of tangysweet ...Yay!  Can't wait to try it.  And in other news, I found out another Paper Source is opening even closer to our home.  Sweets + paper, life is good. :]

Oh + speaking of good news, I mentioned a few months ago that one of my little products was going to be in a magazine.  I just learned the issue ran - my first magazine mention!  Thanks Avis for sharing!

bodie + fou

I found Bodie + Fou via Decor8 last week and instantly loved their goods ...Such pretty, pretty stuff!  And their having a summer sale right now.  Too bad the dollar is so weak!

heading out - have a great weekend!

I'm heading to Chicago this weekend to pick up my printing press [yay!].  And thanks to the lovely Jane, we'll be making a few recommended stops ...Including a stop here to get their famous, award-winning cupcakes.  How could I pass that up?  I'll be sure to share the full scoop next week.  And would love it if you send your good vibes my way -- I've researched + carefully planned transporting my new treasure, now I'm just hoping it all goes according to plan!   Have a great weekend.

handwritten + letterpress

I think handwritten + letterpress are now my two favorite combos for letterpress designs ...Aren't these all just so lovely?  Definitely inspiration for me as I'm thinking of the direction I'd like to take with my own letterpress work.

he loves hats

Little one is loving hats these days + insists on wearing them all the time.  I'm trying to find some cute ones ... Any thoughts on places that carry cute boy hats?  The one's above [from J. Crew, Janie + Jack + Babystyle] are cute but I don't love 'em.

I've posted her work before + lately I've been seeing it all over the place but I just love it so much I wanted to share again ... Plus, I am now the happy owner of the top left wristlet. :]  With all my big purchases lately, I've put myself on a self-imposed spending freeze + started using Joslyn's list method [which works, btw!].  With the exception of this purchase.  I had a rough day yesterday + decided to treat myself.  Its amazing how a little Etsy makes you feel better. :]

I'm loving all the picnic related + themed stuff I've been seeing lately...Doesn't this stuff just make you want to go out + have a picnic?

It seems I'm coming upon loads of lovely photography lately.  Patrick Kline's work is one of those + has quickly become another favorite ...These photos are so fresh + summery.  Love it.

letterpress storage

I'm quickly working to set-up a nice home for my new press [to start, home is in the garage].  I'm also quickly acquiring lots of letterpress tools + supplies + trying to figure out some easy storage solutions.  I'm drawn to this photo ... I like the idea of hanging canisters.  Anyone have any idea where I can get some of these?  Preferably in color so I don't have to paint.  I checked the local craft stores w/ no luck.

Also, thanks for all your kind notes, emails + enthusiasm about my printing press.  I'll try to keep a good balance of keeping you updated on my letterpress adventures but not boring you to death at the same time.  A few asked what I got -- I lucked out and got my dream press -- a tabletop 6x10 C&P Pilot press.
