I'm waiting for him to wake up so we can go to the post office to mail out shop orders and do some power holiday shopping to finish it up today. BUT he hasn't woken up from his night's sleep + its 10:30 a.m. He's usually a very good sleeper + wakes up around 9 a.m. but this is unusual -- though yesterday he woke up at 10:45 a.m. I'm not complaining ... but we need to get going!! :]

I always get amazed about how many lovely things there are on Etsy. Here are a few things I either have on my wish list or on my list to buy as gifts for birthdays ...
Top row: Baby Leila: how cute is that skirt and vest?
Second row: Little Bird Creations: will be getting booties from her as gifts.
Crown: Little Red Caboose: another gift idea, too cute!
Bottom row: scissorspaperglue: I love the idea of the color themed inspiration box + I love grey + red together. Once I get my studio cleaned up + can find a little place for this I hope to scoop it up [assuming its still available]. Also love the pillow boxes from FieldandSeaPaper. I've tried making pillow boxes before; not easy. Will pick some of these up the next time I need favor packaging!

I was over at Old Navy today picking up a few extra holiday gifts. I don't go there too often so I was pleasantly surprised by the pretty cute wrapping paper they have [which is 50% off now] among other things. I also spotted these cute mini suitcases ...
As you can see I picked up a few [five actually!] and originally bought them to wrap presents. But now that I have them home I'm not sure I can part with them because they are so cute. I don't know what I would do with them so maybe I will use them to wrap gifts. So, if you get a present wrapped in one of these boxes ... consider yourself extra lucky! :)

Just barely made it! I guess better late than never. My goal was to update the little shop by today ... and well its ten minutes to midnight, so I made it!
I'm still figuring out how to juggle my little shop [which I love doing] with the rest of my life. I still haven't quite learned that when you have an infant/almost toddler you never can expect things to go exactly according to plan.
At any rate, I wanted to update everything at once and also once I was perfectly satisfied with everything. I updated with new push pins, magnets, metal rimmed tags [my favorite] + number push-pins in new colors. Here's a snapshot of a few of the items ...
So, for those looking for last minute stocking stuffers + holiday gifts ... hope you find something you like!

Its 1:40 a.m. and I'm trying to update the little shop + do some online holiday shopping [need to take advantage of all the discounts and free shipping deals!]. When I get tired I get easily distracted. Case in point ... I ended up on the dELiAs web site [don't even really know the store and had never been to the site before today] and started browsing the coat section -- for me! I think I need to retire for the evening. But in the meantime, I wanted to notate a couple of the cute [and affordable] coats I spotted...
I have no idea as far as the quality + fit goes but I thought they were pretty cute.

I finally finished my ornaments for the Ornament Swap the other day. Another thing I can check off the holiday to do list. I think they're ok but I'm not totally happy with them. Even though I'm not a sewer [though I wish I was] I wanted to do something with felt and my fabric scraps. Here's a quick snapshot of them ...

I'm bummed about the news that Blueprint is folding. I really liked that magazine. A lot of people criticized that it was a little bit of everything -- Martha Stewart, Lucky, Domino, Real Simple all rolled into one -- and didn't really go in depth into anything. I liked that about the magazine.
