Thanks for visiting this little blog. Its been great so far to have a little place to jot down some thoughts, ideas + updates. Thanks also for those who have encouraged + supported my little shop. Its been a great start + I look forward to whats in store in the new year!

Wowee, have I been productive. Not only have I made lots of new goodies for my little shop. I can finally check off organizing my studio space off of my to do list. Made a couple of trips to Ikea over the last couple of weeks and got some functional storage furniture. Was looking for something a bit more stylish ... but in the end you really can't beat their selection and price. Nonetheless it feels great + a great way to start the new year. 
Next on my to do is to start adding a bit of something to the walls + still get a desk chair [so that I can return one of my dining chairs back to its rightful place].
Also need to get going on writing out my new year's resolutions. Only a few days left until 2008, can you believe it?!

I have a new favorite fabric. Well, I have lots of favorites ... but this is my new favorite for today. 
I received my shipment of new fabrics I ordered from J Caroline's. I love all the fabrics I got but I love, love the heavy-weight Alexander Henry pictured above. I'm trying to think of little things here and there to make with this cheery print. I did make a framed board for the shop [to be added with the rest of the shop update on 1.3]. Its lovely [or at least I think so!] and would brighten up any studio, kitchen, kid's room ... etc.

My little shop update has been delayed until next week [January 3 - I probably should have done this in the first place any way!] Thanks to those w/ custom orders + their very kind understanding. We had a rough weekend + are still a little under the weather ... we still enjoyed the holiday + hope you did too.

I'm busy working away making some final holiday gifts. Can't believe its Christmas next week! I'll share more about some of the handmade holiday goodies next week once our recipients receive them. For now here's a quick snapshot ... can't tell what it is or who its for just yet ...

For as long as I can remember I have loooved paper. And these days there are so much great paper to choose from. I've been stocking up on a variety of supplies, including paper, and thought I'd share some of my regulars/favorites for paper ...
Paper Source is great because I can go there in person to check out their stuff. I especially like their P.S. line. Paper Mojo + French Paper are my favorite online shops and I recently found American Craft papers. I like their paper because its two-sided - the backside is a coordinating solid color.
Would love it if anyone shared their favorite paper sources!

I'm aiming for 12.27 as my next shop update. I stocked up on some lovely heavy weight canvas fabric [got a lot of goodies at my local fabric store today + also stocked up on stuff from JCaroline's via the Decor8 discount] to make some new + custom pin boards. I'll also update the shop with some new and old designs as well as new goodies to pretty-up your office ...
I've got a lot in store this week: finishing up last minute handmade holiday gifts, fulfilling custom orders + working on the shop update. Busy, busy but fun!

Thanks to everyone who made orders yesterday + found my little shop via Decor8. All orders made yesterday [Friday, 12.14] have been shipped. Thanks again + hope you enjoy. All orders made this weekend will be shipped first thing on Monday.
As for us this weekend, we're going to enjoy some holiday parties + family gatherings. Have a great weekend all!

Decor8 was one of the first design blogs I found about a year ago ... its one of the blog that introduced me to the wonderful world of handmade, Etsy, creative/inspiring women, and lovely blogs among many, many other things. And today, Holly was so kind enough to write about my little shop. Thank so much, Holly, for the lovely posting. 
I've said this before but its so true, so I'll say it again, it means so much to get feedback + affirmation for my work. I make stuff that I like + things I would use. And because I have no experience or background in design + everything I do is self-taught, it means that much more. So, many thanks to Holly + those who have purchased my work.
