The cupcake trend has finally made its way to DC. Another cupcake shop has opened + I'm very excited about this ...
Hello Cupcake, near Dupont Circle, opens today. YUM. Seriously, I really do love cupcakes.
I just love these Orla Kiely travel bags ...
I saw the one in the upper left a few weeks ago + find myself going back to look at it. I don't need a travel bag ... just like looking at it. Orla Kiely is definitely one of my favorites.
Hope you had a great weekend!
I came across the Flickr account of the guy who designed Feel Script + discovered some of his other work ...
He has some serious talent! I love his work.
I seriously find a lot of joy when finding a great font -- especially a good sans serif or script ...I've been eyeing these two, Feel Script + Sudestada, for quite some time. And today the lovely Jane reminded me how much I love that Studestada + I went ahead and bought it. It will be perfect for some wedding projects I'm working on among a few other things. Yay for pretty fonts!
This lady is seriously talented. Oh what I would give to be able to write like this ...Taking calligraphy classes has always been on my wish list. After seeing this, I think I'm going to bump it up to the top of my list -- not that I'll ever be able to write this amazingly -- but I can aspire. :]

I've been a long time fan of Wayne Pate/GoodShapeDesign's work + have been meaning to post about him for quite some time ... I just love my simple repeating patterns + bright colors! :]
I seriously love, love the work of Red Flag Design. It simple at its best...
Not only are the details + quality look great, they use about-to-be discarded materials [e.g. sailcloths!] + make one-of-a-kind products. And that reusable shopping bag [also made out of reclaimed sailcloth] at the bottom is probably my all-time favorite of all the reusable bags I've seen. I just love white with a little accent. I think I might be getting that. :]
Anytime I see something from the Penguin Classics line it always catches my eye ...I mean how can you not love bright, bold colors, simple design + a nod to some great classics!
